Life in the fast lane
As our Finance Business Partner, you will be joining the Finance team who make up part of the Business Services Department.
This is a permanent position, based at our Head Office in St Kilda.
Reporting into the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will partner with leaders and teams across the organisation to support sustainable growth and deliver AGPC strategic priorities. This includes managing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and providing practical advice to help teams make confident, informed decisions.
Additionally, you will:
- Partner with department and division leaders to build robust business cases for new projects, investments, or product launches.
- Enable departments to develop accurate budget and forecast plans, by providing financial modelling and cost analysis, market trend information, and month-end reporting with commentary and actionable insights.
- Promote budget owner’s accountability and challenge assumptions to ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Provide financial expertise for tender reviews and other critical business activities.
- Contribute to key business planning and financial reporting processes, including the development of the annual business plan, management and committee financial reporting, and supporting the year-end reporting requirements.
- Support the broader finance team’s key deliverables.
- Work across the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix event and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix event at a site on the circuits and perform prescribed roles which may not be finance related during the events.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, and providing financial advice
- Demonstrated ability in developing productive stakeholder relationships
- A relevant degree majoring in Accounting or equivalent is mandatory
- Professional qualifications (CPA or CA) are highly desirable
- Experience within Victorian State Government, major projects and / or event management delivery desirable
- A current Police Check and Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee), or be willing to obtain.
